CHANGING LIVES, OPENING MINDS
“Erasmus +” is a project approved by the European Union, to help children to integrate them into the world of work and to learn or improve a foreign language, doing an internship and staying in local families for a few days, weeks or months.
From January 10th to February 10th I had the opportunity to participate in the project “Erasmus +” in Malta.
I stayed in a family with two children and two dogs, which was located in Karm, a neighborhood of Birkirkara (the largest and most populated city of Malta)
This family welcomed me as if I were their daughter:
I had my small blue bedroom, equipped with two beds, a television, a wardrobe, a desk, a big mirror and very important… the wi-fi! 🙂
Thanks to this family, and to the various projects in which I have participated in the past, I have learned to adapt myself to any type of situation, such as accepting or at least tasting all kind of food that my host family gave to me, adapting to meal times, to their routines and their traditions.
During this month, I did an internship with my classmate Sara, in the “Solana Hotel”, a 4 star hotel located in in the very heart of a typical Maltese and Mediterranean village, called Mellieha.
Solana hotel is ideal for travelers who want all comforts, luxury, great beaches nearby and delicious international cuisine.

2) from 25€ to 38€
3) from 37€ to 55€
4) from 70€ to 118€

2) from 38€ to 64€

This project was very important for my language skills because I improved my French, Spanish and above all English.
I had the pleasure to meet friendly people, who gave me life lessons and advice about the world of work.
A huge thank goes to my classmates, with which I spent funny and beautiful moments during this month.
